Think of any business the average person might
own. A coffee shop or a tire store, for example. Now imagine the customers a
business like that might attract. Your customers could be just about anyone,
right? People from all walks of life enjoy a hot cup of coffee and anyone with
a car will eventually need tires. So if those businesses cater to a wide
variety of people, how practical would it be to only offer small cups of black coffee or light-duty
retread tires? The answer, of course, is it wouldn't be very practical at all.
Now imagine walking into a plus size clothing
store. Everyone wears clothes, so it shouldn't be hard to find articles of
clothing for any size person. Anyone who's paid attention to what's available
in the typical clothing store knows that's not the case. Clothing stores and
clothing departments often seem to ignore the fact that some of their customers
need plus size clothes.
Racks upon racks of pants, shirts, dresses and
blouses stretch from wall to wall, yet few (if any) are stocked with anything
for the plus size customer. If you're not part of this population, you might
not understand the frustration of being unable to find clothes that fit
comfortably, if at all. It's like being lost at sea, surrounded by water but
none of it drinkable.
There are companies that understand this dilemma
and are determined to do something about it. Some Companies are specialized in
attractive, well-fitting clothes for the plus
size woman clothing. There, women
who tip the scale at something more substantial than 95 pounds, can find the
clothing that's right for them and can do all their shopping right from their
own home. It's a welcome change for those who've been ignored for far too long.
